		<description>&lt;p&gt;lzma makes total sense for long-term archiving, however, even more so than gzip or bzip2, it probably requires either having a very big block size (how many megabytes? maybe 1MB from what squashfs experiments suggest. For bzip2 you'd want say .5MB with bzip -6 or 1MB with the equivalent of bzip2 -11) or whole-file compression (at which point it may be a layer on top of your block archive rather than below it).&lt;/p&gt;
