Nothign wrong with moving yourself.
I just moved a small flat from LA to Mountain View myself.
Give yourself much time to pack, at least a week for a 2-bedroom house/flat, a day to drive, and 1 day to unload.
Then a week-ish (usually less) to set everything up.
Can I paint it with LCC guilding, can I, can I?
