Kitten Presant
I was outside yesturday evening when the kittens came trotting over and placed this at my feet.
I am both happy that they consider me worthy of their presants but at the same time feel sad for the poor little rodent. Still it means they are definatly good mousers now - even though that isnt a mouse!
Is it a vole?

I think it is a shrew - I didnt think it was at first as it quiet a bit bigger than the one I cuaght in the summer and its fatter! But a look at wikipedia shows that there are lots and lots of different types of shrew! If I had its teeth I would be able to tell if it was one of the three types I was classifing at the museum but alas I am a bit too squimish to disect the thing besides the kittens have munched it now!
