Bubble woman (by )

I think there's a mechanism to prevent her knees bending the wrong way, but a realistic and simple way of doing that has yet to occur to me (I did only have a few hour's sleep last night!)

Then the body sections are just drawn on the midpoint of the spring modelling that body section, aligned between the two endpoints of the spring - and away she goes!

I like the use of alpha blending of the body segment images to make them blend together at the joints - it looks really good, except when her limbs bend too far or stretch too far, when the fuzzy 'stumps' are revealled.

I've found that if you try and drag her through the 'gap' between two overlapping bubbles, you can actually reach a point where the forces exerted by the mouse and the bubble bounce force are high enough to make her limb springs stretch to superhuman levels:
