Jean Walking :) (by )

At 11:02 this morning I saw Jean walk from the stairs to the setee!

This is the first definate walk either of us has seen though its lickely that she is walking at nursery.

Since then she walked from the kitchen to the front door as daddy was going to get a sack of coal from the little garage and she didnt want to be left behind! Unfortunatly this expadition was cut short by the fact it snowed last night and she had bare feet and mummy unlike daddy is strict about the whole cold feet thing!

BUT... Jean is walking!!!!1 Sarah bounces

Kitten Presant (by )

I was outside yesturday evening when the kittens came trotting over and placed this at my feet.

Cat presant

I am both happy that they consider me worthy of their presants but at the same time feel sad for the poor little rodent. Still it means they are definatly good mousers now - even though that isnt a mouse!

Opps! (by )

I think I have lost or gained a week or something and mixed up the back dating of some posts - so I would ignore the chronoligy of the blog for a while if I were you!

Plus I want to post more stuff that I've written ages ago but havent got round to posting!

Another Hectic Week (by )

Yep another one!

This week Jean had a bit of a stomache bug resulting in me getting covered in puke at three in the morning. Lack of sleep then led me to get us to an appointment that happens to be in Febuary!

Then Wednesday was the Beavers, and a training course we managed to be over an hour late for :(. Thursday saw the Cubs and Scouts doing archery and Friday a client turned up unexpectadly. Saturday ended up being a business day what with said client being about but we also had to go the tip to drop of the dishwasher as we didnt want to drive all the way to Petersfield with it in the back the next day!

It was supposed to be the Swimming stage one badge for all three sections but some one was ill in the pool so it was canceled and we had to phone everyone! We also had to do a panicked arranging of the football team for the Sunday as we werent going to be there - though we still do not know how that went!

Sunday saw us visiting family 3 hrs away in Petersfield which was great fun 🙂 Baby Jean was much appricieated by Harry and Annabelle - I have a few pics but am currently too tired to upload them so you'll have to wait for the cuteness I'm afraid!

FLOOD!!!! (by )

No this time it isn't part of the curse instead it was a bit of bad luck for peeps upstream of us. The dam of their lake broke and a huge surge of water came down the stream that runs through the garden here! This was in the afternoon of the 13th of Jan 2007.

We weren't actually here to witness this but a neighbour took some photos - we were quiet starteled when we saw them!

Poor Gilbert! This is the stone bridge by the water cress pond, there is normally a little statue of a boy called Gilbert residing in here. He was missing after the flood but once the water level went down it turned out he'd just been knocked off his plinth!

Compost heap Our compost heap is now responsible for phosphate and nitrate contamination of the water courses! Yep thats it half submerged there.

tunnel under the road Beleive it or not there is a tunnel that thestream flows through just under the road there - it is completely below the water line meaning water had to have come over the road!

eeek!

As you can see compared to our little trickle this was something else! Poor Barbara had not long planted out a load of iris and rushes along the stream which all got washed away 🙁
