Jean and Pancakes (by sarah)
Jean hates pancakes but loves the fillings it turns out - which include bean sprouts - her culinary experiments can be seen on Salaric Cooking.

For Valentines day Jean had made some things at Pre-school which I have put up over on Salaric Craft. We also made lots of hearts which we put up everywhere that is also over on Salaric Craft.
We decorated the house and made princess cakes which will soon be up on the cooking blog. When Al came home we made a lovely dinner with heart shaped pastries which was fun - they are already up on Salaric Cooking.
Jean is still developing at a rate of knotts so I thought it was time for one of these posts.
Jean loves dressing up though she tends to mix and match on a theme of say fairies, princesses and divas!
Last time Jean was in the office in Highgate - when there was all that snow which still hasn't melted from out little snow encrusted valley! - she found great joy in doing handstands in a box. She then made up sudry other games with it:
She then got Ferfer to play at being a puppy with her much to the amusement of everybody else in the room though he did threaten to draw a teddy bear on the end of my noise if I took any photographic evidence - opps!
My Brother David came up to stay with us and to try and get the Bambi running again (The camper van we borrowed on one of our 'adventures'). Jean thought this was great and kept dragging down his sleeping bag so that they could sit wrapped up in it! She also cried and insisted that she didn't want to go to pre-school as she needed to play with Uncle David!
She kept asking where Aunty Michelle was though and so we had to explain the concept of 'time off work'.
Him and Dad also discovered they could turn into aliens with the power of my spring bulbs :/
Yesturday me and Dad went out to get supplies such as painkillers and the like - plus Barbara had run out of milk. We still have had no post and our last milk delivery they walked too us for quiet a distance.
Al and Jean however went for an exertion to the common with the sledge that belonged to Al's Dad. I made Al take the camera though when we finially climbed out of the village I slightly regretted this as I was presented with fantastic views but I would prefer to have pics of Jean in the long run!
He stopped at the church first though took a landscape and none of the church which was looking very postcard-esk.
Here are his landscapes of the common.
Jean sledging without her hat! (Bad Daddy)
Many of the villagers were out and about with shovels and there was a sense of community which I feel we are slightly missing out on. Still if it continues we will have to get up into the village more.
Al said the common wasn't very good for sledging as the snow was too fluffy and too deep but it was nice anyway - I got a phone call to say we were nearly out of hot chocolate so Jean had her statutory warm drink when they got home 🙂
The only down side to the day was that I started it off by having a painfull fall but I am amazed I got this far in without any misshapse.
