Jean and the order of things (by )

I have been playing with playdogh with Jean as she has become interested in my fimo exploits! My plan though it is unlikely to work is that this is Jeans Playdough and this is Mummys playdough (yes your right not going to work but hey its fun trying!).

We sat there at her little table with it but she got upset when I mixed colours to make eggs and stuff - she seemed more interested in putting it all back into the pots (unfortunatly she did try to shuv it all into one pot which was interesting). However she did sort of grasp the idea of putting the stuff in the little moulds that come on the lids. It was fun 🙂 - though I did discover that playdogh is actually really difficult to modle - really difficult!

Snow, Ponys and Mothers Day (by )

I was awoken today by a baby brandishing a much scribbled on envolope and in fact she was still scribbling and indeed - she refused to give over what Daddy inisted she had for Mummy!

After a bit of wrestling and a little bit of a winge Jean gave me the lovely card she picked herself in Tescos - apparently it was the shiniest one there - fortunatly its purple shiny 🙂 So obviously she knows my tastes already!

She'd signed it herself too - there was a lovely scribble - an improovement on last year ink foot and hand print!

She had also made me a presant at nursery which was also wrapped in purple paper!!! How did they know?

It's that poem about sticky finger prints everywhere that i remember David (my brother) coming home from Playshcool with. It was surrounded by her hand print in gold paint and laminated with a glittery hanging up thing!

I've put it up in the bedroom as I was feeling sentimental!

Today has actually been a veryu strange day what with snow, torrential down pours, hail and lovely warm sunshine? Then ontop of that some ponys have moved into the paddock - fortunatly they have coats on or rugs or what ever they are called as it really begain snowing heavily just as they had finished moving them in!

Poor Jean was mistaken as a boy yet again! The owner of the ponys assumed that the blue baby grow and blue coat meant she was a boy.

Actually Jeany had a bit of a nasty fall today 🙁 She was running along the drive and had a bit of a dive bomb, wham straight on her beak - she has a graze and bump to show for it. We were really worried as when she got up again she appeared to not be able to walk and kept falling over. Thinking that she must have hit her head really hard we scooped her inside to have a proper look - this was when Al found that her wellys were mysteriously full of stones!

No wonder she couldnt walk - they must have been working their way down the wellys. Jean really likes stones and rocks she's even trying to smuggle them into the house now!

Naughty Bobble! (by )

Jean loves stones - really really loves them.

Unfortunatly this is cuasing a problem as the most readily avialible source of pebbles and stones is the gravelly stuff Barabara has around her door and in the turning area.

Jeany has so far thrown stones into the Mill through the front door, put pebbles into the flower beds though she did then help me pick them all out again, put stones in the green house and in plant pots. She has even managed to put a stone in a coffee mug!

She is determined to relocate ever stone here I think!

No Jeany-bow! (by )

Well it's finially happened - Jean has taken it upon herself to start the interior decoration of the Bakery!

We have been doing drawing and colouring after breakfast each morning with much emthasis on 'only on the paper Jean,' however she got hold of a biro up in our bedroom and though Alaric saw her with it he noted that it was one with a retractable nib and the point was inside so he didnt worry. My policy is that reguardless she is given paper and told only to draw on that.

Poor Alaric didnt realise that the nib doesn't retract properlly and only discovered this fact when Jean drew on my lovely iridescent note book!

We then discovered that she had 'decorated' the sheet adn duvet cover 🙁 Oh well at least it wasnt the walls (yet!).

We showed her sheet and said, 'no bad bobble you only draw on paper,' then just to make me feel really guilty, her little smiling face disolved into tears :'(

Still she was really good with her drawing this morning and only got upset when a crayon broke - she gave it to me saying 'oh dea, oh dea,' and didnt belive me when I said I couldnt fix it!

Jean’s a Big Girl Now! (by )

After the disastor with the highchair and the fact that Jean is now hapy to sit in chairs we decided to see wheather she could cope with eating at a table. So we dug out the little blue kiddies table and the two little chairs from various garages.

We sat her at the table gave her, her food and waited for the carnage - waited for her to wail or escape and walk about - but no - she just sat there happily munching!

Jeans a big girl now!

The table is also useful for her drawings - this is good as when she was sitting next to me at the big table a)I was worried she'd fall off and b) there was a high chance that my paper would end up crayoned in a helpful Jean attempt!

Drawing

These pics were taken three weekends or so ago - I lost the camera which is why its taken me so long to post about it - it might onlt be two weekend - hmmm not sure now!
