New Kettle! (by )

Kettle!

This is our new kettle 🙂 Whilst pregnant I set fire to the old yellow one we had in The Bakery and whilst moving we wanted to keep a kettle at each house. So we went into town to buy some more crates for moving with and popped into Morrisions to buy some dins only to find that in the New Year Madness they had reduced this kettle down to £6!

Look at the way it gleams!

Shiny kettle

The cats like it Kettle, cooker, cat

It looks so pretty and proper in place on the cooker 🙂

Awww Sarah I want to say "oooh shiny, its lovely" but I am afraid I have bad news for you 🙁 Bought one that looked almost identical (had a black lid rather than a silver one, apart from that they are the same) and I loved it to bits - but they dont last, unless you are scrubbing it regularly. If you have your kettle anywhere near your cooker, they will get miniscule splatters of fat on them, and next time you use it that will burn on it... our lost its shine and redness very quickly, and turned a murky orange 🙁 Will try and dig out a picture for you. I am afraid we have gone back to electric now, which is far far away from the cooker on the windowsill.

It cost £6 we thought even if it burns through in a couple of months it's worth it - we love our whistling kettles - the previous one was stained and matt yellow and brown but was older than me. The red has unfortunately been stratched already but it's not really noticable and it gets cleaned everytime we do the cooker.

The electric kettle is up in my studio space 🙂
